In such an unfortunate event, we honor your spot in line for interest in that item. This means that you will be able to make the purchase once we get your payment situation sorted out. The Otaku Swap actively combats botting attempts. We do not disclose how we do this, but we want to do our part in making sure that especially limited edition items are going to people who simply want to be part of the experience at retail price.
The Otaku Swap does not sell nor share your data. Some partners of ours may collect this data, but we curb this where we can and are continuing to find alternative solutions.

The Otaku Swap is an otaku shop first. We carry all titles that other companies may ban or discontinue. We do not bend to social pressures to stop carrying a certain product or product category. We understand that some of our clients may find some of these products unsavory, but we stand firm on the decision to accommodate as many titles and products as possible. A line must be drawn somewhere. As our matrix improves, our clients will be able to hide certain products from view when logged into their accounts, but we never remove the products from our shelves.

We will never ship to an address other than the one on the order. If the merchandise hasn’t left our doors yet, you can cancel the order and repurchase using the new address. If the order has already left out for shipping, we will not be able to accommodate this request.

What if I need to have my merchandise shipped to an address other than the one on my order?

Standard shipping services should ship out the following business day.
Expedited shipping services should ship out the following non-holiday.
International shipping may vary due to various steps involved in preparing the proper documentation needed for international shipping. However, international orders are typically shipped out the following business day.

When will my merchandise be shipped out to me?

Sometimes our payment processing protection mechanisms may erroneously reject your purchase attempts.
If your purchase is declined, first make sure you are using a payment method that has sufficient funds to pay for your purchase and that there are no restrictions on this payment method.
If you are certain that your desired payment method is in good standing, contact us so we can investigate the issue together.
In this case, The Otaku Swap will honor your spot in line and we will work together to help get your payment method issues resolved.
Once the issue is resolved, you can place a new order.
This benefit is only extended in scenarios where your purchase attempt is erroneously declined. Insufficient funds is not such a scenario.
