Every item we sell will ship out in a box, including single light novel and manga volumes. We will never ship out single books in an envelope.

Returns

All sales are final for saleable merchandise. Some minor niggles due to manufacturing tolerances or shipping tolerances are to be expected, but major flaws will never make it out of our doors. Despite making sure that all merchandise is properly secured for shipping, accidents do happen sometimes, which is why we allow a window to report any discrepancies with your order so we can investigate the issue together. This window is 7 days from delivery of your order.

Opened merchandise of any category are not returnable nor refundable unless there is a major functional flaw.

Glue coming apart in book products, resulting in pages falling out

Functional flaws are flaws that prevent the product from behaving as advertised.

Not at fault damaged merchandise may be exchanged for other items, store credit, or full cash refund after an investigation. You must return the damaged merchandise to us first before we can send you replacement products, issue store credit, or provide full cash refund.

The Otaku Swap works closely with our suppliers and we keep up to date on product recalls and reviews. So if a Blu-ray player has had a recall, for example, or if we find there’s some other major flaw that hasn’t evolved into a recall yet, we’ll simply stop selling it in our store. Sometimes a flaw in such products isn't experienced by everyone and without a formal recall, we won’t be able to do much outside of no longer carrying the product. If you ever have any issues, especially with items like Blu-ray players, please contact us immediately so we can work together to resolve the issue.
